This is so beautiful, very delicate and dainty.Estate antique boudoir pillowcase cover with Italian filet lace inserts & edges. This features squares of sheer fabric with floral padded embroidery, lots of dots andanother type of embroidery on theleaves, lots of lux details. Five of these gorgeous panels grace this piece.Not sure what the fabric is? Linen, cotton, organdy? Could the front embroidered pieces be organdy or very fine linen? They look like they MAY be different from the back fabric, which may be a tad thicker. These front pieces are pretty see-through sheer compared to the back fabric. These are my favorite parts of this. There are also four filet lace panels. These feature flowers and a pretty sort of raised embroidered leaves. The back fabric has an opening for the pillow insert. This is a creamy color and measures 15.5\" x 13\"with the filet lace edge measuring about an inch or less.

This is from an estate where the woman had many very fine and old linens. I was thrilled to see how fine her items were and how old. The condition on this is good pre-owned, and as it is old it does have issues consistent with age. I have not washed this item and will leave it to you. This has some brown storage marks which you may feel inclined to soak out. This also doessomesmall pull away areason somefront panels, on the very delicate embroidered panels. Then the panels are hand sewn together and not sure if there are any repairs or if they have always been this way, as the fabric is so sheer, sohas areas where has been pulling. Back in good condition, a few storage marks. The filet lace around the edges is good, with some wear asis normal. May have other issues I miss. Let me just say, this is old, this is delicate, and this is NOT perfect, so please do not expect it to be.But when you see how much work went into this piece you will see it is a piece of art.
