Antique Miniature Native American Basket - Narragansett Rhode Island For Sale
This tiny antique splint basket is fresh from the home of a family in Wakefield, Rhode Island. The family has Native American heritage and belong to the Narragansett Indian tribe. I was told that this basket has been passed down through the family for several generations. The basket stands approx. 1 3/8 inches tall (1 7/8 inches to the top of the handle) by approx. 2 1./ inches in diameter. The basket stands on three legs and with the exception of a tiny chip on the splint that wraps around the top rim this antique basket is in very good condition! !
