A pair of unique and rare antique Paris porcelain apothecary lidded jars, believed to be 19th century. Hand painted greek busts are featured in complementing profile - believed to be Asclepius the god of medicine and healing. Other symbols of note include the caduceus with snakes and wings - associated with Hermes the messenger of the gods. French fleur de lis symbols, coral branches, and bouquets of flowers complete the design. One jar is marked EXT: ROC: DUP: and the second EMP: VES: J. See photos of incised marks to bottom.
