Up for your consideration is another lovely antique hatpin, fresh out of an estate.  This one has purple colored rhinestones.  The top measures approximately 1 5/8 inches in diameter, and has a beautiful design in the the brass colored metal that has a lovely patina.  It\'s in a sort of three leaf clover design, for lack of a better descriptive term.  All of the edges of the \"petals\" are gracefully curved.  At the intersection of each of the round areas there is a \"bezel\" set faceted stone.  The center is a larger \"Cabachon\" type stone that measures approximately 3/8 inch in diameter.  This is surrounded by 12 faceted stones that are prong set.  All of the stones are present and appear to be in fine shape.  There is a slight tilt where the top is soldered to the pin.  I don\'t know if this was intentional or if someone bent it.  I am not going to try to straighten this as I would be afraid that I would break it.  The pin itself also has a slight bend to it, which is visible in the photos.  The entire length of this pin is approximately 11 3/4 inches and it has a very sharp point!
