Description
Wonderful antique regency early Tunbridge ware painted wood sewing clamp, with integral lidded pot (to contain small sewing items) which would have original had a vabric pincushion to the lid. The clamp has typical baded and floral painted decoration, as is found on these early pieecs, plus early printed image of the Brighton Pavillion.
SIZE
The clamp measures 14cm (5¼") high, 7.7cm (3") deep and 7.7cm (3") wide.CONDITIONThe clamp is in good condition for considerable age, althpugh there is considereable surface wear and fading to the painted decoration, especially to the lid. As can be seen from the photographs, the original pin cushion is sadly missing. Please refer to the above photographs for details of condition.
