This is an antique vase marked RW RUDOLSTADT GERMANY(Porzellanfabrik Rudolstadt Straus & Sohne ca.1904-1924)
The vase is a large16\" (42 cm.) tall with a base of 6\" by 5 1/2\".The piece is hand painted and decorated with red and blue flowerson a creamy background.The top and the base are embossed witha high relief scrollmotif of a rose color.Gold accents highlight theflowers and the scrolls on the front.No gold on the back (it is notwear.) The porcelain has an opaque bisque-likefinish on the outside,but is very translucent, white and shiningon the inside.The vase is in excellentcondition with no chips,cracks nor repairs and minimum wear if any.An impressive collector\'s and decorator\'s piece.The vase will be shipped insured and double boxed.Please see my other items for more hand painted vases.Pay Pal only and payment in 3 days.California residents pay 7.5% tax but they usuallyreceive a shipping adjustment.
