Absolutely beautiful! Salvaged from an antique cabinet or mantle.It is extremely elaborate with multiple arches and roundedshelves. It has definite French/Italianinfluence in its design and is reminiscent of a grand opera house or theatre with curved balconies and multiple balustraded sections. Itfeatures a beautifully arched pediment top with carved accents just below. There is a large shell at the center of the pediment.The sides of the shelfhave carved shell features as well. Thepiece has deeply curved/rounded display shelves on each side with curvedbalustrade accents.The center display shelf is straight and also has a balustradedetail. All of the display shelvesare raised with footed supports. They are accented with ornate, stick and ball and turned wood spindleson their sides and have double arched tops. The center display area is further accented with a round, beveled glass mirror. The glass is old and a little cloudy which does add to the aged character of the shelf. The side shelves havearched openings and the original mahogany backing is beautifully exposed. These could also beused as picture or side mirror frames as the backing is removable. The piece has been beautifullypainted at some point. It is a cream or antique white color with a dry brush technique so that the underlying mahogany is exposedin some areas. It is in very nice condition and is very sturdy.Some of the old screws have been replaced at some point to preserve the sturdiness of the shelf.There are flat feet that extendout from the shelf so that itcan sit on it\'s own (on top of a cabinet/counter/etc.). These can be removed if you want to wall mount. THE SHELF IS HEAVY.

The shelf measures 45.5\" wide at the bottom feet, 44.5\" if you remove these. It is 33\" tall. It is 14\" deep at the bottom feet, or 10.5\" deep if you wall mount and remove the feet.
