ANTIQUE SETH THOMAS TRIPLE DECKER WEIGHT CLOCK:
$260.00
This is a Seth Thomas Triple Decker Weight Driven clock.
There is a label on the inside of the door indicating that it was made in 1866 .
Although I can\'t confirm the date to be accurate ,it has a certain amount of rational.
In 1865 the town of Plymouth ,Vermont was changed to Thomaston ,Vermont.
This was to honor Seth Thomas . This clock has Plymouth stamped on the movement
and Thomaston printed on the label . This would be consistent with a transition clock.
These clocks were made to sell to the public for timekeeping purposes.
They were not collectors items at that time.
This is a particularly nice clock the only cosmetic defect that see is a small veneer
lossonthe trim above the left column . It is less than one half the size of a dime .
The dial is in very good condition , as are both tablets .
The label is readable .
I bought this clock , brought it home , set it on a table , added weights and itstarted
running and continued to run until I stopped it to take pictures
However , it may need some adjustment after being shipped .
This a complete clock with weights , bob and key .
The pictures are a part of the description .
