ANTIQUE SILVER PLATEDSERVING TRAY BY FRANK HAWKER, MADE IN ENGLAND 14.25 INCHES.

My mother relocated recently and downsized simultaneously, and I am helping her to sell some of the items thatmy parents gathered during the 50 years they were happily married.

I found another silver plated roundserving tray, very old and heavy. On theback part it has the engraving “Frank Hawker, Silver Plated, Made in England”. Frank Hawker silver plating company wasestablished in Birmingham, England, between 1922 and 1947. Beautiful engraving and nice rim, with allthe character and patina that belong to these antiques. This is a large tray, 14¼”in diameter with a weight of 1 ¾ lbs.

The condition is pre owned and asI have mentioned before with all the other silver or silver plated trays, pieces this age have acquired lotsof scratches and patina. But then again,good quality trays, like this one, withstand the battle of years of usage yeswith some signs of wear, but with no dents or cracks.

I did not clean this tray becausesome buyers prefer it with the patina.
