ANTIQUE UNION CALVARY, GILDED BRASS EAGLE FLAG FINIAL, CIVIL WAR RELIC, 1860-65:

Solid Brass, gilded, Civil War Eagle Flag Finial.
Approximate measurements: height 8 1/4\" (top to bottom), height of eagle 5 1/4\", width 4 1/2\" (wing tip to tip).
Intricate engraved eagle feathers.
Small finial hole to mount on Flagpole or for desk display.
Excellent antique condition with normal wear indicated. Please view all photos.

I have no letter of authenticity or provenance of the piece. I have done due diligence in my research to find similar, or exactly the same, finials sold either on , other sales sites, or at sales. In my educated opinion this is a piece from the Civil War Era.
