$715.00

Peterson Peterson #73. Brass hilt. The guard pierced win foliage and flowers. Wire wrapped black leather covered grip. 30 1/2\" broad and narrow fullered spear point blade. European made as nearly all were. The blade unmarked. Exact pattern produced by Confederate makers Boyle and Gamble (Albaugh fig.7). The fact that it is totally unmarked, is generally believed to indicate manufacture for Confederate use as maker or country name would indicate for support of forces against the United States. Condition as well suggests clandestine concealment after the war with dark patina to the hilt. The blade with frosty gray patina.
