Absolutely magnificent very high relief natural salmon coral cameo mounted in solid 14K Etruscan Gold. The hand carving on this wonderful treasure is a true work of art. Probably dates to the Victorian Grand Tour Period. Some wealth Victorian lady or gentleman of the period brought it home from Italy as a lovely remembrance of their trip. The intricay nd detail are fabulous. The beautiful lady\'s long hair are full of grapes and grape leaves. Her face is gorgeous. Surface is very smooth and glossy with no wear or discoloration. Cameo has no chips, cracks or losses at all. The rich salmon color is just too beautiful. The large heavy solid 14K Gold mounting has intricate Etruscan detail over its entire surface even the big gold bail. There is a plaque on the reverse side which is stamped 14K but is very difficult to read. Gold has developed a deep patina from age as only very old gold can do. Quite a large and heavy cameo pendant measuring with its bail 2\" long X 1 5/8\' wide X about 1/2\" deep. Framed cameo oval without its bail measures approximately 1 3/4\" long. Cameo pendant weighs a substantial 16.1 grams. Definitely the finest Victorian coral cameo I have ever seen in excellent all original condition. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
