Antique Victorian Gold & Diamond Locket...

A fabulous size at 2 1/2\" (including the bale) it is made fromhigh carat (between 14 -15ct)gold. A beautiful soft coppery colour that you cannot get today - please note my photo\'s show it as a yellow colour but this is just due to the light on the day!

This is a double locket, the front of which is decorated with a white metal swirl set with nine graduated diamonds the largest being 3mm the smallest being 2mm.

I love the tactile puffy rounded shape of the locket - it looks fabulous on.

The originalglass has been replaced with clear acetate film which makes it much easier to put your own photo\'s in and serves just as well but is safer.

There is a nice little bonus with this locket - the fitted case is a beautiful leather one from Hunt & Roskell - one of the finest jewellers in England and Goldsmiths to the Royal Family for generations. The locket itself fits perfectly but the bail depression is slightly smaller than the actual bail of the locket.

Marks: There are no makers marks or hallmarks - I have tested it to be between 14 and 15ct - I use an electronictester. Please note the two inner frames which holds the photo/acetate in the locket is9ct with steel sides which isusualfor these componants - it is so they keep their shape.

Condition: The locket is in excellent condition with just minor surface scratches commensurate with age andlight use that you would espect to find in any Antique item - please look at the pictures as these are a good measure of condition.
