This is a lovely old doll child steamer trunk.
It would display Kestner, Jenny Lind,Halbig and all antique and vintage dolls and their outfits beautifully.

It is domed shaped, made out of solid wood.
The top and sides are nailled together with hob nails. On the sides it has white metal handles. Unfortunately the dome has flatened somewhat, maybe a little girl or buy sat on it. I think a wood restorer could fix it.

The dimensions of the trunk are: 1\'- 4\" (16\") long x 10 1/8\" wide
9 7/8\" high at the top of the dome, and 10 1/8\" high at the lowest part of the dome. The lid top is made out of 1/4\" solid wood and the sides are about 1/2\" in thickness and about 3/4\" high. The base is made out of 1/2\" thick boards on the front and back and the sides are about 3/4\" thick. The base is made out of 2 rough boards 1/2\" thick. On the inside one finds a box nailed to the side, probably to house all the acruetments for the doll the box is about 4 1/2\" x 4 1/2\" x 2 3/4\". The box came with 2 little wood hangers, one is 4 1/2\" long x 1/4\" thick and the other is 3\" long x 1/4\" thick. It also came with a little clothes clip. The inside of the trunk is lined with white paper. The lid is help open by a material strap about 1 1/4\" wide.
