ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SUFFRAGETTE BRACELET

15CT GOLD CIRCA 1900

This genuine Victorian 15ct Gold Suffragette bracelet is Circa 1900.

Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery was chosen to

counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking.

Green is for give, white is for women and violet is for votes.

Each link is enhanced with beautiful Amethyst’s, Pearl’s and Peridot’s.

Amethyst has been highly esteemed throughout the ages for it’s stunning

beauty and legendary powers to stimulate, and soothe, the mind and emotions.

Pearls have a wonderful lustre with a rich creamy tone,

they are lovely lustrous and natural.

The Peridot is a stone of lightness and beauty and was believed to be a

stone of springtime by ancients who considered it a gift from Mother Nature.

The bracelet displays beautiful workmanship from the Suffragette period

and fully hallmarked 15ct on the clasp.

Complete with a safety chain too.

Purchased in London and steeped in English history.
