This is a very elaborate and simply gorgeous Antique Vintage FiguralNeedle laceBanquet Tablecloth! I purchased it more than 10 years ago from an Antiques Dealer in Portland! I was told at the time that it came from a very fine Portland Estate. I had it professionally cleaned and I packed it away without ever having used or displayed it! I took it out of the dry cleaners plastic bag to photograph it only this morning! It is a very delicate and elaboratelyhand stitchedFigural Banquet size Tablecloth, displaying 12 parrots and 32 butterflies and many, many acorns! There is a hand stitched tassel on each of it rectangular corners! I believe this cloth is very rare. I have seen 2 others like it on over the past 10 years since, I bought this one but neither of them had the tassels! There must be millions of teeny tiny stitches in this cloth! I am not sure if it is of Chinese or Italian origin. Regardless, it is a Fabulous Antique Piece to use or display! It is Ecru in color and measures 108 x 64... it is 9 feet long! It has some faint stains and upon examining it I could only see one broken bride, and being the seamstress that I am, I repaired it without a trace! There could be more... but that was the only one that I saw. No holes or tears. It will display fabulously whether of not you use it or just display it! I am doing my best to describe it as accurately as possible, but please remember that I am human and may have missed something. It really is aphenomenalpiece that anyone would be proud to own!
