Antique old wooden shafted wooden splice neck driver by Cann & Taylor. Circa 1900 club. Solid club; no cracks in head, neck, or shaft. Face shows just one small ding just above the slip plate. Face shows remnants of its original line scoring. Crown stamp clear with much of the original black paint fill still intact. Stamped \'Cann & Taylor\' also with the \'J.H. Taylor\' autograph signature. Mr. J.H. Taylor won 5 Opens and his clubs are certainly sought after. Also stamped on the crown , \"H. Hutton, Durham.\" This is either the local professional who retailed this club or the original owners name. Shaft is an original without any chips or cracks. Shaft remains straight. Has the original \'Cann & Taylor shaft stamp with the \'Richmond\' location on this one. Shaft stamp is light but readable. Total club length at 42 7/8 inches.
