Laps are of course half that or about 3/8 inch deep
Lap coverage is half inch resulting in a nominal of about 6-3/4 inch face coverage. The pieces vary a bit with aging, drying, weathering, twisting, warping, cracking etc. Has all sorts of character. Sold by the foot cut to length - multiple of feet. I\'ll give a little length so you can finish the end as you like. You specify how many feet you need and what length you need. If you want 3 two footers, buy 6 units and tell me about it.The only issue is shipping dimensions have to meet USPS allowances, or you can pick them up. Have a look at usps.com to see what is doable. About the longest length that could be boxed for USPS is 7 foot - and not many in a box - the cost is insane. Best off to ask for 5 footers or less, and ask first if I can even find how many good ones in that length anymore. I cannot find a way to get the shipping calculator to account for variable sized orders. I have length if you don\'t mind some sad looking areas. The shorter the pieces I can supply you the better, and quality goes up - easier to pick a good 2 footer than a good 6.Siding from late 1800\'s. Was in vertical shiplap / ship lap / ship-lap application.Barn was disassembled about 20 years ago and this was stored in garage (built from it) rafters since then.The old barn can be seen at my other listing here: photos show the boards in storage in the rafters as they have sat for decades, [ we are already down to that last row in the back] and some of the same boards as I used them back then on that garage. This stuff weighs about a pound per board foot (based on sampling one board off the top of the stack) YMMVNow that I have filled some orders I can assure you that packaged weights run less that 2# per foot, in large packages this ends up less that 1.5#/lineal foot.Get em while they\'re hot!
