DESCRIPTION: A fabulous genuine antique Whitby Jet bracelet in the form of a snake or serpent. It dates from the Victorian era. HM Queen Victoria made the wearing of Whitby Jet and other black jewellery immensely fashionable following the death of her husband HRH Prince Albert.

This rare and desirable bracelet ismade up ofbeautifully carved andhighly polished segments which arestrung on black elastic for flexibility.The elastic allows it to be flexible enough to wind around and position on the wearers arm and also holds it securely in place.

Overall length measured along centre of snake on the outside is approx. 40cm and approx. 33cm when measured on inside.It is hard to measure so this is very approximate.

CONDITION: In very good antique condition. As with many of my listings, this isa genuine antique item over 100 years old and has been previously worn and loved, so mayhaveminor signs of age/wear.There is a tiny hardly noticeable2mm(approx.) flake off the inside of one link (Photo no: 7) Please study the 10 photos for extra detail and condition.
