Offered here is a lovely antique apron, this could be worn over a dress or could be a kitchen apron, maybe an Edwardian French maid. The fabric is a fine silky 100% cotton Batiste. It is trimmed with fancy scalloped embroidery stitched detail, the scallops are three rows (about 1 1/4\") wide , it adorns the hem, waistband and over-the-shoulder wide straps, as well as the streamer ties. The apron is 35 1/2\" long from the top of the waistband, gathered to 17\" at the waistband, the steamers are 32 to 41\" long on each side, the hem is 33 1/2\" across. This has 4 3/4\" wide bodice or over-the-shoulder straps, 26\" long each from the front to back, gives a very hourglass look with the straps tapering in at the waist and a full bow tied in the back. This is a perfect accessory for an antique costume, apron collector or for fabric. Excellent condition, very clean, sturdy; there are a couple of tiny holes and specks of rust in the apron panel, some holes and some repairs to the streamer ties, nothing noticeable. Finely tailored and finished inside and out.
