WHAT:Antique Planter Jardiniere Flower Cache Pot Stoneware
MAKER: Wedgwood made in England
DATE OF ORIGIN:1891 to 1908. I referenced several websites*** and they state due to the markings Wedgwood and England being separate that itwascraftedduring this time period. The color was more typicalfrom 1920 to 1930, but would have been stamped Made in England, not just England. The number 2 and the two half moon shape stamps probably were potter's marks and not to do with the dating.
MEASUREMENTS: 8 1/2" Tall (larger than most other pots of this type that I have seen). 9 1/4" Diameter Upper Rim. 8" Deep inside. 6 1/2" Diameter Lower Base Relief--Lion Heads, Grape Vine Swags, Classical Grecian Muses, and a continuous Floral Swag just under the rim.
COLOR: Dark Olive Green- The pictures make it look more evergreen than the actual dark olive tone it is.
