Very cute,4 1/2\" tall, antique German, all bisque Kewpie doll, circa 1913, (100 years old)with jointed arms having starfish hands, legs molded together to stand,(designed bythe famed illustrator and designer, Rose O\'Neill). He/she has perfectly molded and painted BLUE wings, good coloring with proper shading, molded and painted tufts of blond hair, huge side-glancing, googlyeyes with lashes, smiling (watermelon shaped) mouth, tiny eyebrows andpink blush to his cheeks. He still has his full paper, red heart (Kewpie/Germany ) label affixed to his chest andmakes a great groom or mate to our (same size) all bisque Kewpie bride (listed separately) or another of our just listed Kewpie dolls as his eyes glace toward them. He is clearly signed on the base of his feet: O\'Neill. Great wedding or anniversary gift and willalso make a lovely gift for a new baby. Heis in fair to good overall conditionwitha clean repair at his neck (which we have not tried to clean further). Other items shown are not included and listed separately.Collect as many as you want to make your own *wedding party! He\'ll make a wonderful addition to your antique Valentine dolls and could be dressed as either a bride or groom.We\'ll also be listing a variety of antique and vintage Kewpie and Cupie dolls all this month as seen in *last few photos (not included with this listing).
