I purchased this covered porcelain canister/jar at an estate sale. It was made by APILCO of France. The jar is made of a high quality porcelain and fired with a high gloss white finish. \"Rillettes de Cours\" is written in script on the front. I don\'t know the age of the canister.
It holds approximately 2 cups of liquid. It is approx. 4 1/2 inches tall without the lid and 5 3/4 inches tall to the top of the finial on the lid. It is 3 3/4 inches in diameter across the top. The base is approx. 3 1/4 inches in diameter. It weighs a little over one pound.
This piece is in excellent pre-owned condition without cracks, chips, crazing or stains. It is very clean inside and looks like it was never used. There is a glaze skip on the very edge of the lid (photo #9-arrow shows where glaze skip is located on lid). Please view the photos.
APILCO and Porcelaine a feu FRANCE is stamped in rust underneath with an impressed number 2.

I pack carefully with a lot of bubble wrap. Shipping fee includes packaging, postage, and online delivery confirmation.
