Apilco France "rillettes De Cours" White Porcelain Canister Jar With Lid For SaleAPILCO FRANCE "RILLETTES DE COURS" White Porcelain CANISTER JAR with LID
I purchased this covered porcelain canister/jar at an estate sale. It was made by APILCO of France. The jar is made of a high quality porcelain and fired with a high gloss white finish. "Rillettes de Cours" is written in script on the front. I don't know the age of the canister.
It holds approximately 2 cups of liquid. It is approx. 4 1/2 inches tall without the lid and 5 3/4 inches tall to the top of the finial on the lid. It is 3 3/4 inches in diameter across the top. The base is approx. 3 1/4 inches in diameter. It weighs a little over one pound.
This piece is in excellent pre-owned condition without cracks, chips, crazing or stains. It is very clean inside and looks like it was never used. There is a glaze skip on the very edge of the lid (photo #9-arrow shows where glaze skip is located on lid). Please view the photos.
APILCO and Porcelaine a feu FRANCE is stamped in rust underneath with an impressed number 2.
I've tried to describe and show the canister accurately and to the best of my knowledge. If you have any questions ATALL, PLEASE contact me BEFORE offerding. I want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase!
