This is a new, never used, no longer manufactured, in pristine condition five piece place setting in the Sunnuntai (Sunday} pattern. It was designed by one of the most prominent Finnish ceramics artists, professor Birger Kaipianen (1915 - 1988).Designed in 1970, the pieces in the setting consist of one each of the following: Oval diner plate (10\" x 9\") Oval salad plate (8\" x 7-1/2\") Oval soup/cereal bowl (6-3/4\" x 6-1/2\") Cup (2-1/2\" x 3\" dia) Saucer/Bread-butter (6-3/4\")The setting was purchased directly from the Rosenthal-USA,Ltd. company that distributed the pattern which was manufactured by the Arabia Wartsila factory located in Helsinki, Finland.
