ART DECO 12.00ct STAR SAPPHIRE & 1.20ct OLD CUT DIAMOND RING - Platinum - c 1910:

A lovely greyish blue – almost moon coloured – sapphire which displays a distinct asterism. Twelve high white old cut rubover and milgrain set diamonds are spaced around the stone, leading to a beautifully detailed stripped back gallery. Striking and marvellously distinctive.Cut – Round cabochon sapphire and old mine cut diamonds.Colour – Diamonds are G to H.Clarity – The diamonds are VS1. There are some inclusions in the sapphire, most noticeably on the bottom of the stone.Carat – The sapphire is approximately 12.oo carat, with a total estimated diamond weight of 1.20 carat.Circa – 1910.Measurements – The head of the ring is 19mm by 17.5mm and sits 9.4mm from the finger.Size – O 1/2 (UK) or 7.25 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.Metal – Platinum. Tested.
