Thisis one of the iconic pieces produced by the Macbeth-Evans GlassCompany circa the 1930\'s.
It\'smade of molded creamy milk glass which is semi-opaque but translucentwhen held to a light source.
Theholder fairly “screams Art Deco,” with its sculpturalside-stepped paneled shape, chevron design and magnificentTrojan-style horseheads which act as handles as well as decoration.
Couldbe used for its original intended purpose of a cigarette holder, butwould also make a great vase, cup, mug or spooner. I used it for awhile to hold my paintbrushes.
Thepiece is in PERFECT CONDITION. No chips, cracks, flakes or defectsof any kind.
3¾” high X approx 6 ¼” wide handle-to-handle. Diameter of themouth area is a shade under 2 ¾.”
