Superb example of Art Deco lighting featuring a lovely young lady with nothing more than a cloth covering her athletic frame. She holds the shade with both hands as she takes a knee, gazing into the glow coming from the shade. This lamp titled \"ADORATION\" is definitely designed by Pierre Le Faguays however I am unsure of the maker. The original lamp was signed Guerbe which is a pseudo for Pierre Le Faguays and cast by the Max Le Verrier foundry. I\'ve sold one other lamp exactly like this one, it had a a Jennings Brothers sticker and I believe that\'s who made this one but I can\'t say for sure. I believe the figure is spelter (zinc based alloy), she is definitely metal with a bronzed finish. The shade, which I believe is original to the lamp is a deep root beer brown with a raised floral design on the outside and frosted inside for a nice glow. She is mounted on a gorgeous marble base, primarily black with hints of green and white. The condition of the lamp should be judged from the pictures, please request more if needed. There is minor finish wear which is usually much more significant on a piece this old. There may be slight nibbles to the fitter edge of the shade but no cracks or chips. The base may have minimal chips, I noticed none. The socket and cord are in good working order however if the buyer request I will install a new cord as there is age to the one currently installed. All said my opinion is that this lamp is in great shape for its age, ready to enjoy for generations to come.18 1/2\" high
