This unit is made for the DEEGAN tracks, will work on standard tracks also, the rear wheel is what drives the bike. the guide pin can be replace with regular pins also, questions please ask.

This unit was tested long enough for me to insure proper operation.

Attention: Please understand these motor cycles are closer to 1/24 scale even if Artin indicated they were 1/43 scale. Also be advised these units are top heavy, will not handle curves like the cars do.Rare earth magnet will help but its not fail safe, thanks in advance, Caveman

I get thisquestion alot, WILLTHESE CARS RUN ON OTHER 12 VOLT TRACKS? So I have spent hours to give a goodanswer, based on real tests, not just a guess.

HERE ARE MYRESULTS, PLEASEREAD: TEST WAS FOR ARTIN 6 VOLT AND ARTIN POWER PASSERS

(A NOTE) This does not mean that Standard Artincars rated at 6 volts, are not made for 6 volt tracks,becasue they are. (NOTE) ANY voltageabove 8volts will blow the headlight, it will happen. Now on my track I useDUAL TRAIN TRANSFORMERS, that gives me a total of 14 amps or 7 amps per car,with a max of 19 volts. So I adjusted my set to 13 volts using a meter toverify the voltage.

FIRST TEST: I removed the body of the car, then placedon my artin track, Lifted rear wheels and ran full speed at 13 volts. RESULTS:Headlights blew right away, the motor did start to get warm (but not hot atall) at 4 minutes. But if you think about that 4 minutes at full blast, is notreal, even with Deegan cars. We all would add some dents to our walls.

SECOND TEST: I put the same car body back on and ran iton my 60ft track. I ran it as hard as I could, in corners and straights openedit up, I ran this car for 30 laps. RESULTS: I willnever go back, loved the extra power, the hole shots, and the huge increase inspeed when floored. (NOTE) I know some will say, they wont do this or that,they will fry in no time. I am convinced that those who try this, will enjoyracing artin standard cars more than they ever have.

BOTTOM LINE: These cars will run on 12 volt tracks withno problem at all, except those that get mad because you just blew away their30-70 dollar car. When we all race even with a 12 volt system, no car isgetting 12 volts all the time, with the controller as we all know we adjust thepower with the trigger. When doing this we adjust the voltage from 0volts tothe max, but what I am seeing other than having straits longer than 20 feet youwill not be able to keep it full throttle very long. So most of the time, myguess is the artin car is getting between 4volt to 8 volts on average. Myopinion is simple with these tests and the outcome. YES YOU CAN RUN THESE CARS ON 12 VOLTTRACKS. Are they made for it, NOPE notat all.

POWERPASSERS Cars. Ipushed big time, Ran perfectly clean for45 solid minutes at 13 volts, did not overheat had no problems at all goodpower just as good as any other brand, I have tested, I thought I would have toremove the diode but it was not problem at all. Used the same guide pin thatthe car comes with and no problems to report.

Something Else I have found in testing)

Carrera Go and SCX most all that I know of, that havecontrollers with a turbo boost button. I have tested both, the track itself isgood, the cars in fact most any 1/43 car would run on them. (The Problem) Thecontrollers will not support the power (voltage) that Artin cars need to run.The cars will move but slowly, but won’t have enough to run well, until turbobutton is pushed. When that happens all the voltage from the transformer ispushed into the car, it takes off like a rocket with no control. If the controllersare replaced, then and only then can the car run properly. These are not guess,I have tested this on both. (NOTE) Artin Controllers hold up a good long time.Most all 1/43 controllers have only two wires, if a person cuts the wire andconnects the wires, then both Carrera, SCX and pretty much all others will runthose tracks. In my opinion its pretty lame that both Carrera Go, and SCX doesnot allow the racer to have full control of the car on the track, my guess ismost racer’s that own those tracks may not know this. But if the controllerswere replaced on those tracks they would enjoy the full control, and there are manythat stepped up to 1/32 track because of not knowing that one fact. There aremany Great Controllers made today, pretty simple, use Artin controllers, and orany 1/32 or 1/24 controller that does not have a turbo button. By the way thisis not to bad mouth Carrera or SCX, just stating the facts. Their set ups withtheir cars are fine, but would have been good to mix it up with other brands.
