ASPREY ENGLISH STERLING SILVER ANTIQUE SOVEREIGN COIN CASE FOB UNUSUAL DESIGN:

This is for a very unusual and veryclean sterling silver Edwardian sovereign case fob retailed by Asprey of London. The fob is different from the standard cases, it looks the same from the outside and opens the same by pressing the button under the large suspension ring, but inside is a removable cylindrical box with a hinged lid forstoring the coinsrather than the usual sprung socket. It is all totally original with matching hallmarks on both the fob case and on the box inside and these date it to Birmingham1908 along with the makers initials C&C for Cohen & Charles. The inside of the fob case is marked with the retailers Asprey, London and the box has the registered design number 629892.It is a super clean caseinperfect A1 condition with no dents, no play and no repairs,the box has retained its gilt wash inside and it all lookslike it has never been used, it snaps open and closed just as it should and it displays well. It measures 30mm just over 1\" in diameter and the box is 24mm just under 1\" in diameter by 11mm deep.
