On offer is this highly decorative Chinese porcelain pilgrims flask, handdecorated under glaze in cobalt blue on milky white. This antique object hasthe traditional shape of a water flask, carried by travelers and pilgrims forcenturies. The bottle shows a central circular design on front and back oforiental landscapes, within floral patterns. The flask has open worked handles.It is marked on the base with a Kangxi four character mark.

Condition: The flask has a distinct rim chip and some minor chips, as shownon pictures. Otherwise it is in good condition, without cracks or repairs.Please view the pictures, which give a good impression of the quality andcondition of the object.

This antique pilgrim\'s flask was made in China in the 19th century, duringthe reign of the Qing dynasty. It is difficult to date this traditionallydecorated item exactly, but dating it to the middle of the 19th century wouldbe on the safe side. This originates from a Dutch private collection.

The flask stands nearly 1 foot (30,3 cm) high on an ovalhollow base, which is nearly 14,5 inches (111 mm) wide. It weighs 1500 grams.
