Vintage bronzed reproduction of Auguste Rodin\'s 1906-era sculpture \"The Hand of God\" which depicts the hand of God emerging from the ground holding a clod of earth in which a newly formed Adam and Eve are entwined. This reproduction of Rodin\'s 1906 masterpiece was made in the 1960\'s by Marwal, Inc. of NYC , and is cast in bronze finished chalkware with verdigris green highlights. The sculptural detail is excellent and there are no cracks or breaks. This sculpture measures 12\" tall on a 7\" diameter round base, and weighs 6.5 lbs. The underside is covered in black felt, and the back of the base is inscribed \"MARWAL ©\". A fascinating piece about the creation of humankind and the creation of art, itself.
