Forsale is an authentic Africananimal hideshield fromEthiopia or Somalia circa 19th c. or early 20th c.

It is 23 ” in diameter and 6”deep.The shield is hand embossed or stamped and the handle is wood andleather with the leather coming unstitched where it attached to the shield asshown in the picture. There is also a small chip around the edges as shown andsome stable age cracks.

It is from the 1900s and has signs of age, wear,use, and minor material loss (as described and shown)) as would be expected butoverall, it is in very good condition for its age.
