Intricately hand stitched throughout using beeswax coated linen thread to produce the infamous Hermèsdouble needle saddle stitch. This stitching particular to Hermès, ensures that in the highly unlikely event that a stitch should come lose, the remaining stitches will not unravel due to the double needle technique.
The 24K Gold Plated hardware is applied using a method unique to Hermès calledpearlingwhere each nail is hammered individually by hand until the pin resembles a small pearl.
TheHermès Haut à Courroies is more regularly known as the Hermès HAC which translates loosely as *High Belts*, referring to the belt straps that are used to close the bag. The HAC was inspired by the totes Thierry Hermès had witnessed the Argentinian gauches using to carry their riding equipment on his trip to South America.
TheHermès Haut à Courroies (HAC) is also the inspiration for the iconic Hermès Birkin which has slightly different dimensions but is fundamentally the same style and shape.

This authentic HermèsHaut à Courroies (HAC) 32cm is in exceptionally good pre-owned condition with wear consistent with light use. There is some slight wear/blushing to the corners, superficial rubbing to the piping and the slightest of surface scuffs to the front skin that can only be seen at an angle, if at all. Hermes offer a reasonably priced refurbishment service where imperfections can be improved on if required. The hardware shows surface scratches consistent with use.
