Nice lot of 28 approx 5x7 inch b&w photos featuring mostly, I think, members of Alpha Chi Omegasorority at the University of Minnesota late 1940s, early 1950s. Many of the photos also feature cute & handsome fraternity boys (a couple of the photos show Interfraternity Council dinners), some - presumably - associated with Acacia since one of the old album pages has the name Acacia printed on it. There are also 2 album pages without photos but which state Acacia or Alpha Chi Omega. There are 2 photos of houses and I\'m assuming one is the Alpha Chi Omega house and one is the Acacia house - but I don\'t know for sure.
2 of the 28 photos are duplicate or very similar images.
The album apparently belonged to Alpha Chi Omega member Helen Duffy - the original album (not present) had her name stamped on the cover. A FEW of the album pages have inked IDs on the verso and the following names appear: Helen Duffy (her name appears on several of the photos), Bob Salman / or Sallman, Betty Rosell, Sue Haycock, and Glagdon or Glaydon Kern (who I think was connected with Acacia at the University of Minnesota then).
A number of the photos have either the imprint or blindstamp of Newburg Studio which seems to have been sort of an official photographer for the University of Minnesota back in those days.
