This is for a veryelegant 14ct gold antique Victorianpropelling mechanicalpencil from the later part of the 1800s.It is marked Addison who was an important and successful American pencil case manufacturerwhose patentissuedin 1838, is one of the earliest US mechanical pencil patents listed. The pencil is reeded down its length with a decorative finial that unscrews for storing spare leads.It has a slider that extendsthe pencil and yousimplyturn the nozzle to propel the lead as normal.The pencil is fully working and it is in good condition with lightdingsonly. Itmeasures 89mm (3.5\") long when closed and I have tested it and it is 14ct gold.
