1930s IdealShirley Temple Composition Doll!
I am not sure if she is considered an 18\" or 20\"
Her exact measurement is 18 1/2\" (I have another Shirley that is 18\" and she is shorter than this doll)
Shirley is fully marked on the back of her head and on her upper back.
On the back of the headit reads:
20 (the 2 is backwards)

On her upper back itreads Shirley Temple
Shirleyhas an adorable face with fine craze lines but they feel smooth and are notcracks.
What is amazing is that her eyes are so clear withNO crackling or crystallizing and she has all of her upper brush eyelashes!
Her eyebrows are a little light
She has all of her upper teeth and tongue and most of her lip color.
And of course those Shirley Dimples!
The blonde wig feels like a soft mohair and looks replaced and there is a number 13 on the inside of the wig.
There is residue on the top of Shirley\'s head most likely from when her original wig was removed.
Her head and body are all the original finish.
The armsare remarkable with only a few surface lines.
There are numbers on the insides of the upper arms but I am not sure of what they are.
The torso has finelines seen mostly with a magnifying glass and are harder to see with the nakedeye.
The legs and one foot have sustained more wear than the rest of her.
The left leg looks pretty good.
The right leg has more craze lines and there is a crack/lift area of compo on the upper right inner thigh and a little lower down the leg before the knee.
The right foot has the top layer of compo missing near the heel.
The left foot has achunk of composition missingon the inner toe area.
She is nicely strung
Shirley is wearing a tagged Vogue Dress that is vintage but of later vintage; probably the 1950s(the sleeve elastic at the edge has relaxed)
The dress has an attached slip and fastens at the back withfactory snaps
Panty withred trim
Rayon Socks
Newer Shoes thathave tie strings.
Round Shirley pin with her picture on it.
