Dramatic and compelling is this African Abstract art print of a Masai hunter done in color tones of deep crimson red, black, and white. The combined matting and print area measures 19 1/2 inches square with total frame size being 25 inches square.

The tribal hunter wears a traditional Masai robe, his left torso and shoulder area protected with a shield. He holds a spear which would be his weapon of choice. A narrow decorative border surrounds the tribal figure composition and seems to give the appearance of eyes. Certainly, sharpness of vision and the ability to have eyes in back of one’s head would be an advantage in hunting.

The gold and brown tones of the wood frame complement the print and suggest a forest or savannah Environment for our tribal hunter figure. The artist’s name, York is on the bottom right side as you view the print.

The print is glass covered, in fine vintage condition, and is ready for display with the art gallery wire in place on the backside.
