For Sale is a High Quality Folk Art Pair of Hand Carved Solid Wood African American Bust Figurines of Women.

These are Very Well Done, Approx. 4.5\" Tall and 3\" Wide.

They Each Have Some Cracks Typical of Solid Wood Carvings, But This Doesn\'t Take Away From the Beauty. The Largest Crack Starts Beneath the Breast and Up. Less Noticeable when Standing. The Figurine With One Frontal Braid is Missing the Back Part of Her Left Ear. It Appears to Have Been Stained At Time of Carving as it Matches Well.

I Do Not Know Their Origin or the Type of Wood. (though not ebony) I Think They Are Lovely--The Wood is Kind of Two Toned and Some of the Small Carving Strokes Can Be Seen.

Please See Photos. There are No Maker Marks. I Believe They Were Made in the 1930\'s to 1960\'s Due to Their Dress Collars. Actual Age is Unknown.
