Made in 1941, this is Alexander Korda’sThief of Bagdadbrooch, a stunning crescent studded with sapphire blue rhinestones, layers of ornate brass petals and rosettes, aqua enamel, and gilded gold metal pearls. The dark gold plate has an antiqued look. Korda was the director of the famous movie; Rice Weiner made the jewelry associated with it in limited quantities.

This highly collectible piece is 3” wide and tall with all stones present. A little wear to the gold plate can be seen consistent with the age of the brooch, and there is a slight bend in the pin stem; otherwise, it is in fine condition. It is signed and numbered (113) on the back.
