MONUMENTAL PORTRAIT OIL PAINTING OF ALFONSO D\'ESTE (1476-1534) AFTER TITIAN (1476-1534) Some photos taken with flash size:40\" x 50\" Framed: 46\" x 57\" A substantial piece here. An important copy in my opinion as I have found similar copies that have brought over $50,000. This piece had been on exhibition (on loan) since 1985 at a public institution. This is an authorized copy from the late 1800\'s of the original painting that hangs in the Metropolitan Museum in NY. The Duke of Ferrara (1507) is the sitter. A very well executed oil on canvas. Appears to have been relined several years ago and was on loan the past 31 years. The painting was owned by Adrian Lamb , but we believe not painted by him. Information verso states the painting was copied by Lamb, but again, in our opinion this painting is actually the work of a more masterful artist. Minor in painting. Some varnish inconsistencies. Important copy that isa very low risk investment. Painting is unsigned. Some photos taken in natural sunlight to help show detail. LAST PRICE REDUCTION !
