vintage genuine Alfred Dunhill cigar holder, with solid 9 karat gold rim ( 375 gold ), complete with white dot, name above the dot and full British assay office hallmarks:
maker\'s mark AD in the diamond - 9 ct 375 - italic \"f\" for 1961 - leopard\'s head for London
length: 64 mm - 6.4 cm - a little over 2 1/2 inch inside opening to thread the cigar: approximately 14 mm - 7/12 inch
The holder is in very good to almost quite excellent vintage used condition, with some slight nibbles and rubbing off, especially at the mouth piece. The line that you see in one of the pictures at the mouth piece on the side is NOT a crack, but a reflection of the light. There is only the slighter rubbing off on the side of the mouth piece, not a damage, but various scratches and rub off from use.There is a small shallow scratch underneath the dot, and the usual minor scratches and patina normal for an item of this age and use.
This would make a fine present for a nostalgic minded Gentleman or well chosen addition to any tobacciana collection.
