this is probably one of the rarest islamic pieces you are likely to find, it is a very heavy model of a cat made from bronze or brass, my opinion would be bronze, it is set with turquoise eyes and wonderful arabic script in silver with more silver and copper decoration, it measures about 10.5cm high and weighs just over 1kg not including the base, or 14cm high including the base, originally i listed this last week but i couldnt find the base so i ended the listing, but now ive found the base so ive taken more photos showing how good it looks on the base, surely an extremely rare piece which looks amazing on display, im sure you wont find another like it, possibly a one off specially made piece. viewing welcome.PLEASE NOTE I WILL BE AWAY FROM THE 2ND AUGUST UNTIL THE 1OTH AUGUST - I WILL TRY MY BEST TO ANSWER EMAILS, BUT ITEMS WILL BE POSTED WEEK COMMENCING THE 11TH AUGUST, COLLECTION WELCOME FROM THE 10TH AUGUST ONWARDS.
