Bags with less beadwork than this are selling for over 2 and 3 thousand dollars. Beautiful old Museum Quality FloralApplique Ojibwa Octopus Bag. Entire bag is edged with beads and strap is beaded with a floral design. Entire strap is edged withopaquepearl and blue beads.
Beaded bag is 9 1/2 inches wide, 15 1/2 inches from top to bottom of fringe, with a 32 inch shoulder strap is 2 inches wide. This lovely bag is backed with buckskin and lined with traditional beige canvas material.
In near perfect condition, 2 spots have loose beads. Can be easily repaired. The entire bag weighs 1.58 pounds. It fits comfortably on the shoulder and has been worn for professional appearances in 2 Presidential Inaugural Parades, Washington D.C. July 4th Parade and USO Shows.
This beautiful bag is very old, was purchased in the early 1970\'s and was lovingly cared for in a SMOKE FREE Environment Floral design of opaque pearl and beaded flowers of green,turquoise, yellow and blue. This is a rare piece as it is fully beaded on the front. Part of the Princess Pale Moon collection.
