STERLING SILVER REPOUSSE NAIL BUFFER SET
AMERICAN SILVER BY GORHAM
A fine example of American silver in the form of a woman\'s nail buffer set. This wonderful piece is comprised of the top nail buffer, and a tray style base. The repousse work retains its crisp and clear non-repeating floral and leafy fauna pattern on both pieces. Of an elongated oval design 4 1/2 inches long, 1 1/2 inches wide and standing 3 inches tall. Stamped with the Gorham makers mark of lion rampant, anchor, and Gothic letter G. Dates to early 1900\'s. Both pieces weigh 135grams (4.7oz)
The top of the nail files is engraved with the ownersinitials. The buffer shows the original chamois with a woven rope edge. Considering its age it is in good condition with no rips, or tears. The sterling edge stamped with Gorham\'s makers mark and apatternnumber. The base shows pattern number B10.Would make a splendid gift, or addition to any silver collection.
