Amphora earthen vase, R.S.K. red label, Turn-Teplitz Bohemia, made in Austria. Twisted form with blue and white enamel flowers inlaid.

Original Amphora paper label still attached.

Teplitz refers to art pottery manufactured by a number ofcompanies in the Teplitz-Turn area of Bohemia during the late nineteenth andearly twentieth centuries. Amphora Porcelain Works used a variety of marks withthe word Amphora or the initials RSt&K.RStK’s innovative pieces earned international acclaim almostimmediately. After winning prizes at both the Chicago and St. Louis World’sFairs, exclusive establishments, including Tiffany & Co., marketed them inthe U.S.
