Egyptian / Syrian Islamic metalware -dating from thefirst half of the 20th century.
A hand raised and finished brass jug / ewer - seamed and burnished.
The surface is finished with a chiseled and embossed decoration. The decoration incorporates an inscription - detailed above.
This example is mounted with a scrolling handle - tightly copper riveted in place.Overall height - 4 3/4\" (121mm).
Weight - 206 grams.

Condition - Very Good. No repairs. Natural colour and patina.
