A string of lovely green (sort of a blue-green) color, ancient glass beads sometimes referred to as \"Trade-Winds\" or Indo-Pacific glass beads. These were arguably the most well traded beads in the Eastern hemisphere, if not the world. Most bead scholars believe they were produced in several ancient bead making sites around the Indian Ocean, and traded by sea across the \"trade-winds\" routes throughout southeast Asia and beyond from about 400 to 1200 AD, more or less. Refer to Peter Francis\' book \"Beads of the World\", page 95, for a good description of the importance of these beads.
