André Bienvenue Roman (March 5, 1795–January 26, 1866) was Speaker of the Louisiana House of Representatives and the ninth U.S. Governor of Louisiana.

Book and original images from S. Anderson\'s Imperial Photograph Studio, No. 183 Canal St. Three Sister Buildings New Orleans. Includes ancestral photographs of Roman\'s family as well as prominent military and clergy including Robert E. Lee, J.E.B. Stuart, John Wilkes Booth and W.T. Sherman. Book originates from the heirs of the 9th Governor of Louisiana, Andre Bienvenue Roman who was in office from 1831-1835.

Originally sold at sale for nearly $6,000.

In very good overall condition with wear to the album and inside pages. Pencil notations beneath many of the CDVs to identify the image with some notations directly on the bottom of the images.
