This is an amazing vintage carved wooden scene with characters as bar set items. It is marked Anri, 40 years 1912 - 1952 Wood Carvings. It features a cat corkscrew atop a wall post, two bespectacled men as bottle stoppers sitting in barrel kegs, a sitting drunk as a bottle opener cradling a bottle and a dancing ballerina atop the wine barrel with spigot. The scene is musical and when wound up plays \"wer soll das bezahien\" (which translates \"who should pay for it\") to which the ballerina dances atop the barrel. The musical mechanism works fine, as the ballerina twirls she sometimes catches on the barrel.

The pieces are in very good condition and fine details are intact. The only noticed flaw is the broken top of the \"drunk bottle opener\'s\" bottle.

The scene base measures 8 1/2\" wide and 6 3/4\" deep. The \"wall\" at the scene back measures 8 1/4\" wide and 6 1/2\" tall from at arch top, 8 1/4\" tall at tip of corkscrew cat\'s tail.

The back has the foil Anri tag and is ink stamped \"made in Italy\".
