This is a stunning Ansonia Figural mantle Clock on a blackmarble base.. The detailed figural Philosopher man is wearing a robe andholding a protector in his hand and appears to be contemplating something.

The piece has a separate round escapement adjacent to thefigural with ornate leaves and scrolls and a Urn final.. The Clock has a whiteenameled face with black roman numerals, Stamped Ansonia Clock Co Patented andglass bezel with gold trim. The movement is stamped Ansonia Clock co patentJune 14 1881 New York N Y USA and patent June 13 1882, it will have a key.

Condition Amazingshape for the age, Working, some marks on the dial, and some typical marks onthe case.
